Intellectual Property (IP) refers to inventions or creations of the mind which may be creative expressions, brand names, know-how, formulas, recepies, designs, software, literary works and more. Intellectual Property can be protected through the use of trade names, trademarks, patents and copyrights, as well as though the use of nondisclosure agreements and other tools to designate ownership and prevent unauthorized transfer or distribution.
